These awards will recognise excellence in service, hospitality, quality, customer care and promoting local distinctiveness and Welsh identity.

 

 

 

 

Best Meal Out - Taste of Swansea Bay

This award is open to any Restaurant, Café / Tea Rooms, Bar or Hotel who provide excellent quality food, with an innovative menu using locally sourced produce, promoting local Welsh identity.  We will also be looking for excellent customer service and hospitality. 

 

Best Pub or Bar

Sponsored by Hurns Brewing Company

This award is open to any pub or bar that provides excellent customer service, quality and hospitality.  They should sell a range of drinks that have been sourced from Wales, example, Welsh Beer, Whisky, Wine etc. and soft drinks from Wales - promoting Welsh identity. 

 

Best Activity / Attraction

This award is open to an Attraction or Activity provider, which can demonstrate excellence in service, hospitality, quality and customer care.  Consistently providing a unique and memorable visitor experience: extending a warm welcome. 

 

Best student

The future of the industry lies with people having the ambition, passion and dedication to want to have successful careers within this vibrant industry.  This category is open to anyone studying to work in the tourism and leisure industry who has shown the most enthusiasm / commitment to tourism in the Swansea Bay area. 

 

Best Contribution to international Tourism

In this award we are looking for a company or individual who has demonstrated a commitment to brining tourists from overseas into Swansea Bay and Wales.

This award is open to business or individual, which can demonstrate they go the extra mile to consistently provide a unique and memorable visitor experience, extending a warm welcome, making an extraordinary effort to provide more than is expected to the visitors who come to the Swansea Bay area.

This award is open to any business that has demonstrated a dedication to adopt sustainable business practices within their operations. 

 

Best use of Technology

This award will highlight those who have successfully integrated ITC within their business development or who have shown to be further developed than other businesses within their sector. 

 

Best Newcomer, New Tourism Building or Development

A successful tourism & leisure industry requires a constant supply of fresh ideas and new business start-ups.

The ‘Best newcomer, building or development award’ is for an individual, new business, building or development of any size that has made a significant impact on the tourism industry in the Swansea Bay area.

‘Newcomer' - will recognise an individual or new business, established within the last 2 years, which has demonstrated a successful contribution to the tourism and leisure industry within the Swansea Bay area.

‘Building or Development’ - The successful project will be one, again established within the last 2 years, will have undertaken good market research, explored the competition and planned their investment with care.  The overall success of the project should have been monitored and evidence has to be available.
