We are very proud to be associated with The Swansea Bay Tourism awards this year.  Swansea Bay and the surrounding area has so much to offer as a destination but also as a place to enjoy as locals.  As the number one station for South West Wales we pride ourselves in being out and about in the area as much as possible and highlighting the strengths of where we live and work.  If we take pride in where we live and acknowledge our area then so will those who visit.

The Heart of South West Wales, Swansea Sound is Wales' very first local radio station with huge brand awareness built up over the last 36 years.

Swansea Sound is a household name and its core adult listeners have grown up with the station! The music is a blend of hits from the past four decades as well as some of the the best current songs too. The station is the home of the Kevin Johns Breakfast Show - Kev serves up his full Welsh breakfast each morning between 6am & 10am.

Swansea Sound has a reputation for fast and reliable coverage of local news and sport, and broadcasts full match commentary on all Swansea City games, home and away. We also broadcast special shows featuring Welsh choirs, country music, plus programmes in Welsh too. Our Sunday morning phone in 'The Sunday Hotline' is a platform for controversial debate on various topics which affect our area. People turn to us first for up to the minute information. Swansea Sound is proud to serve the community by being part of it. We understand the people in our area like no one else can.
