The City & County of Swansea is delighted once again to support the 2010 Swansea Bay Tourism Awards and in particular its sponsorship of the category - “Best Visitor experience”.

Tourism continues to be one of the most important and significant sectors of the local economy and the investment made by the public, private and third sectors support the aims of the Council to become a top European Waterfront City by 2020.

The City is at the heart of the destination, but the Council’s Tourism Section is responsible for the marketing and development of tourism across Swansea Bay, Mumbles & Gower. It is therefore appropriate that the City & county of Swansea acknowledges the contribution that the industry makes to ensuring that the visitor experience is a pleasurable one and this award is a true recognition of that contribution.
