Castell Howell Foods Limited, a family run business, was formed in the early 1980s from Managing Director Brian Jones’ dairy farm at Trevaughan, Carmarthen and has since become Wales’ leading independent food wholesaler. The company serves over 4,500 customers and employs over 300 staff. By combining a delivered warehouse facility and a wholesale Cash and Carry in Carmarthen, with additional depots in Merthyr, Oswestry and Avonmouth, they provide a one stop shop for the caterer, stocking over 10,000 catering products. Their customer base includes hotels, restaurants, bars, B&Bs, cafes, hospitals, leisure and education establishments. The Company has grown from its beginnings at Castell Howell Farm, and moved in 2007 to a modern, purpose built food factory at Cross Hands Food Park.

Castell Howell is a partner with Wynnstay Plc and the Welsh Meat Company in the Celtic Pride premium beef scheme and is the sole distributor for the scheme. Brian is passionate about putting Wales firmly on the food map and takes pride on sourcing and promoting indigenous produce. You’ll taste it in the quality produce they supply; from artisan cheese to Welsh beverages, Celtic Pride beef to speciality preserves and award wining ice cream as well as a diverse range of other quality goods that provide for every caterers' need. They are also proud to have recently become associated with the Welsh Rarebits Hotels of Distinction and Great Little Places, being the association's preferred Welsh produce supplier.
